The kits come with a .115 shim that should be installed behind the slave cylinder. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!!

so resurfacing wont be an issue requiring thicker shims? if so, is there anything i can use for shims without having to order anything? what exactly am i looking for with the shims?

You should be just fine with the shim SPEC provides, the resurfacing of the flywheel should not take a lot off the flywheel anyway.

Talking tried to install spec stage two last weekend

i tried to get it in last weekend as my car broke down 150 miles away from home up at the cabin... i purchased a spec stage 2 and a fidanza flywheel and DID NOT install the spacer because; the kit came with no instructions and i have never done a clutch before so i had no idea where it went... so trying to drive it without the spacer is not possible. had to push it all the way to the floor. mash it in the carpet just to get it to disengauge. then i drove it almost a mile got it into 4th gear went to down shift and could not get it into any gear.. my pedal was very firm though and i tried bleeding it again by just gravity bleeding it and completely lost pedal. now i took it apart and the bottom of the slave was pretty wet so was the whole trans housing.... so i came to the conclusion that the i ruined the slave by not having the spacer in so i'm going back up friday to put a new slave and the spacer in...

spec 01... will the one spacer the kit comes with be enough for my setup with the fidanza flywheel?

Yes...you should only need the single spacer. Make sure that the slave you install is like the one that came out of your car. It seems that there are a few different versions of the slave floating around (I am not refering to the difference between the pre-01 and 01 and later models). Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!
