Default Help with clutch problem!

I am getting really frustrated with my clutch. When i go WOT to redline the clutch gets soft and engages/disengages close to the floor. It still works fine but the pedal is real soft.

I've taken out the old black fluid that was boiled and replaced it with dot 4. I have wrapped my line so it doesnt boil the fluid. I have also had the clutch bled and it still does it!!

What else can be done?

Stock clutch? Time for an upgrade. I have flushed my master a few times too, but starting to slip worse and soft pedal issues.

I would agree...this would most likely be slave related. I would replace the slave and insure that the clutch is in good shape while you have everything out of the car. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!!!

Soft pedal is usually one of a 3 things, needs a bleed, bad master, or bad slave. Take your pick.

my RAM Slave and adjustable Master have been doing very well since the month after I got my car (almost 3 years ago, daily driver). Was the first thing I did after I got the car and I have no complaints at all. WS6store.com has a good price on them. Just don't buy RAM's clutches - oh yah, have you done the drill mod yet? Just a random question.

Thanks for the heads up on the slave/master, I'll check it out. I haven't done the drill mod because i've never had a problem getting into gear at high RPMs.

BTW...how's the car running? Any new mods?

Drill mod's ur friend, so is all new hydraulics

Car's runnin like a champ. The Spec is on it's way out big time (has been for the last 300miles) but so far I've still managed to wax a turbo 240 and an STi lol. No new mods... just an LS7 or Spec 3+ clutch goin in soon

Urs still doin good except for the clutch issue?

If you're willing to put up the $ for all new hydraulics when you do ur clutch swap, I'm pretty sure you'll never have this problem again (make sure u do the drill mod too).

So what'd u do? Cam? If so, how big? N20? PM me if you don't want it all over the boards.

same thing happend to mine.. its the hydraulics. might as well upgrade the clutch since u got the spray hooked up.. then replace the master and slave and make sure they do the drill mod.. also have them cover (forget the part) with heater hose so the fluids dont boil

When i get some free time i'm going to look at the prices for clutches and all other parts

I already did the wrapping on the lines but i will do it again if replace everything.
Thanks for the input
