Default Ls7 clutch or Different Clutch Setup?

I was originally going to get the Ls7 clutch setup until i found out how heavy the setup was. I have a 2000 firehawk M6 and im going to install my heads and cam near christmas. I am hoping in the 450rwhp range so i am going to need a good clutchs setup to back this up. The car is a daily driver. Any suggestions on what clutch i should go with? Should i go with an aluminum flywheel?

I run a SPEC 3+ with steel billet flywheel and its a nice street clutch and can hold power. I drive it normally coming off at around 1500 rpm's with minimum feathering. If you race/clutch dump a lot you might not want a LS7. I wouldnt worry about having a light flywheel, a heavier one will probably be better in terms of street driving.

So you think that the Spec 3 with a steel flywheel would be a good way to go? I just can't get over 22lbs compared to 12lbs. I have heard good things about the Spec 3. Do you think i would have any problems with it being a daily driver?

I like my 3+. I wouldnt get a stage 3 though, the 3+ is a lot better. I drive the hell out of 3+ on the street.

The LS7 is going to be the most street friendly though.

whats the main difference performance wise between the aluminum and steel flywheels? Any idea? I dont go to the track often and i don't drop the clutch very much either. I mostly just walk the clutch out.

The steel will be a better driver if you walk it out more, with the lighter flywheel you will have to rev it higher to walk it, which will wear out the clutch faster.

Yeah if you got the extra $150 to do it then by all means yes, might as well knock everything clutch related out of the way at one time. That way you wont have to deal with something breaking in the future.
