I'm installing a new ram 6130, and after everything was put back together, including doing the drill mod. My installer noticed a small leak. He took everything (dropped the tranny) apart and noticed the part that the throwout bearing mounts on was leaking. I was told it was tranny fluid. Thing is it didn't do this before the install. My question is, what is the part that the throwout bearing mounts to? And can it leak tranny fluid? Thanks

I would suspect it to be leaking hydraulic oil ("clutch fluid"), but if the front seal around the input shaft is bad, it would be possible that it could leak transmission oil. A bad seal is possible sign of a worn input bearing and should be checked out....just in case. Just my thoughts. Good luck!
