Default Soft Clutch Pedal

So I have the LS7 clutch with about 500 miles on it. When I first got it in the engagement was very low and a little stiff. Today when I was driving normal I shifted to N, then threw a rev at another SS I passed. I went to shift back into gear and it would not go, so I pumped up the pedal. The pedal seemed to get stuck (pedal crash??) for a second or two then it was fine but felt super soft. It felt normal before much like my LS6 clutch, but now it feels very soft, even softer than my gas pedal. It also engages very high now as well. Is this normal? I have all new components installed other than new master.

look at your clutch fluid. Mine did the same thing. i dont have the ls7 clutch. But im pretty sure you will see that your fluid is black. Not clear like it should be. When its black its thin. Not good. the braided line gets hot cause its by your header. Wrap the braided line with rubber hose. and put new fluid in. Hope this helps. good luck!

A friend and I bled the clutch and got all the dirty fluid out. So far it feels better, and I hope it stays ok. Otherwise my next move will be master cyl and drill mod.

No prob. make sure you put a rubber hose on the braided line so it wont get as hot anymore. That's what made your fluid black. I used Air hose off of an air compressor
