Cartek clutch problem i just finshed installing my cartek clutch and my reverse is very hard !!! i couldent but it !!! its very hard !! is this something normal !! or i have to check it again ??? because i didnt drive my car for 10 miles yet so what should i do ?
Re: Cartek clutch problem It sounds like the clutch is not quite disengaging fully. This is one of the main reasons for high shifting effort. This will cause premature wear on your synchros and engagement teeth on the tranny gears.
How is the engagement effort in the other gears?
Do you have an adjustable master? If so I would adjust the pedal height just a little higher. Maybe one turn of the rod. Keep adjusting in small increments until the shift effort is correct.
Just be carefull and not set the pedal too high. If the pedal too high the clutch will not engage fully and will slip under high load. This is how I toasted my Cartek clutch.
