new clutch from TDP works nice ;)
A few weeks ago, I replaced the stockish clutch on my STS turbo and cam car so i could get back in the racing game. i also replaced the slave and installed an adjustable master in the process.
Clutch works amazing. the car made 503/512 with the stock clutch and T56, so i think I might be in the 515-520rwhp range now. I bought a mildly upgraded T56 from a buddy and had my shop install the clutch and tranny at the same time along with the slave and adj. master.
Car is running amazing. It used to not build boost in 1st gear and now from a 5-10 roll, I am at 5-6 psi by 5500-6k and all over the road if the TCS is off on decently used MT ET Streets by the way.
Great clutch, a little shaky, but when your car is making over 500rwhp, you're willing to use almost anything to hold the power. It was a nice piece and holds the power for sure
Next week I will be fixing/upgrading the turbo spooling capability by reverting back to stock manifolds that have been ported and coated along with a better ORY and re-wrapped to hold the heat in. hopefully this will eliminate the minor exhaust leak i have and allow the car to see 7.5psi like it's supposed to. If it makes 7.5psi, i dont see a problem with this car making 550rwhp with STS and cam alone.
