Ls7 clutch is in!
I have not driven very far yet but the feel of this is silky smooth; I'm very surprised considering how beefy the pressure plate and flywheel are compared to the stock LS1. I was expecting to be be truck-like.
Anyway, I replaced everything including:
flywheel, pressure plate, disc
Throw bearing
slave
master (yes to 7/64 drill mod)

Not too bad.... if the car was at 40mph and you shift into 5th and floor it, the clutch would slip for 1 or 2 seconds.
...also very recently, the clutch fliud turned black - bleeding did not help
...looking at the old parts, the pressure plate was scortched... I suspect the hydrolics (slave and master) were the worst parts.

I agree it is a very smooth clutch.
I have about 250 miles on mine now and it's really starting shine.
Engagement point has moved up about a 1/4" since the install.
I can't wait to really put it to the test
