Intrest in Stronger T-56 Components?
Right now, I am in the process of designing and machining some experimental components for our T-56's. The stock components (syncro keys) are the weakest and most commonly broken parts in our T-56's. Symptoms of this weak component breaking is the transmission getting stuck in a certain gear, or difficult to get in/out of a certain gear(s), or grinding going into a certain gear(s), which is commonly mistaken for a bad syncro/syncro blocking ring. From my experience with the amount of T-56 rebuilds I have done, these parts seem to be the number one weakness, and the most common problem. My question is, if I were to mass produce these parts, how much intrest would I have from the members here? The first batch for testing should be produced this week, and I will be testing them in my own transmission. I will have more information sometime in the next two weeks. I just want to get an idea for the intrest in these parts, espically since I know a lot of members here still have warranty, and just take their car in to have the tranny fixed for free when broken. I just want to know if it will be worth my time/money to try and sell these parts. If these parts are mass produced, and I have enough intrest, I will of course become a sponsor on this board.
