Well hello everyone! A good friend of mine just bought a 2008 Z06 last weekend. I owned a 2000 Camaro with a T-56 and used a 2.2 ohm 40 watt resistor to trick the PCM into thinking the skip shift solenoid was still plugged in. Something I learned here thanks to you all. I've got a few of thoes resistors left over and was wondering if they would work on my friends new Z06. I would assume so but as you all know that can be dangerous, and even though we're both GM Techs at a dealer I'd hate to be responsible for damaging his brand new car. Any thoughts?

Resistors work but if you have the money get the skip shift mod. That provides a block off plate + the resistors so weather doesn't mess up the connector.

Or you could buy the metripack connector online and make your own block off to keep the solenoid safe.

try it if something goes wrong just plug it back in then take it to service haha
