Default 01 & 02 F-bodys did not have the Z06 clutch?

I hear people say "the 01 & 02 F-bodies came with the Z06 clutch"

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....80&postcount=2

I know that the hydrolics were indeed upgraded from 2000 to 2001 however I cant find a true answr as to if the Z06 or LS6 clutch I purchased and installed was indeed an upgrade or not, i'd really like to know...

Here is the part numbers for the GM replacement clutch of every year LS1 F-body...

1998 F-body stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12581650
1999 F-body stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12581650
2000 F-body stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12581650
2001 F-body stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12581650
2002 F-body stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12581650

Now here are the part number for every LS6 year Z06 corvette...

2001 ZO6 stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12570806
2002 ZO6 stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12570806
2003 ZO6 stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12570806
2004 ZO6 stock replacement clutch GM P/N: 12570806

Now, if the Ls1 clutch is P/N 12581650 and the LS6 clutch is P/N 12570806 how did 01 & 02 F-bodies get the Z06 clutch?

Does anyone know?

Thats what im hearing, but I cant tell if its hearsay or fact. I'd be pissed to find out I swaped clutches for no reason, the springs on the pressure plate of the "Z06" clutch were visibly bigger tho...

I am not sure what the F-body part # are for, but the 12570806 is the Z06/LS6 clutch kit, not just the clutch disc.........
