six speeds inc told me about 1100+shipping for their 2A package. I believe their 1A package is a couple hundred bucks cheaper. But that's just the start, if you need anything replaced that's not in the package it will go up, bearings, gears, etc.

Heres a link to our t56 rebuild page:
http://www.tick-performance.com/transmission/
Our regular price for the build most guys go for is $900 plus shipping. To add a 5-6 syncro assembly (slider) to that, just add $95. Like camaroguy26 said, any additional parts will make the price go up.

Tick & six Speeds inc are both about the same around $900 for the basic package. I'm looking into doing the same too. I just wish they were closer. I don't want to pull my tranny again. I'd rather pay the $200.

With a 4200lbs car, I've had my trany rebuilt twice. First time Southern Gear in Marietta, GA for $800 and it held up 4 years of road racing.
But after a D1SC blower install and upping torque by 200 ftlbs, I snapped the input shaft. Needing a higher HP application, I sent it to T56Rebuilds, now SixSpeed inc after seeing a $895 for 750hp application ad in GM HTP.
I landed up paying $1,500 for a complete rebuild and upon reinstall I still had the excessive shifter rattle under load and high rpms. Upon contacting, I was told bearings were not replaced since they were within spec??? and that I should not use Royal Purple MAX ATF and it was being pulled off store shelves???
I've put 2,000 miles on the trany but next time I have to pull it, I plan to go with a tranzilla. www.rsgear.com

Yeah we normally don't replace bearings unless we notice excessive wear or the car has alot of miles. Most come thru here fine. The shifter rattle isn't related to a bearing. As for the royal purple they are not pulling it off the shelf it is just not a good idea to use it with carbon blockers/stock blocker rings. We have always been told that the tests show it eats the carbon blocker rings and prematurely wears them out. We don't recommend it to customers. That is why our break in says Mobil 1 ATF or GM Synchromesh as just about everyone that rebuilds these recommends that.
The tranzilla is a great transmission just expensive. It is worth the money if you make large amounts of power.

I VOTE TICK PERFORMANCE!!!
DIRECTLY FROM TICK PERFORMANCE--->Lately we have been rebuilding a lot of t56 transmissions so I have decided to create a few package deals to simplify pricing. Bearings are not included in the package prices, however they can be included for an additional $160. Any other parts that may need replacing such as gears will be additional. We will also remove and reinstall the transmission in most f-bodies for $150, GTO's for $200, and corvettes from $350 depending on headers.
Level One $750
Level one is a stock rebuild intended to bring your t56 back to life. Included are the following items:
New fork pads
New sycronizer rings (blockers)
New seals
New 3-4 aluminum shift fork
1-2 slider assembly
3-4 slider assembly
Labor included
Level Two $900
Bronze 1-2 fork pads
Bronze 3-4 fork pads
Billet 3-4 syncro keys / upgraded springs
Carbon Fiber blocker rings
Steel 3-4 shift fork
New 1-2 slider
New 3-4 slider
Labor included
Level Three "Viper mainshaft conversion" For F-body $1700
Includes everything in Level two plus:
New viper mainshaft (shortened)
Larger output shaft bushing
Larger seal
Machined tail housing
30 spline slip yoke
New u-joint
Modified speed reluctor for larger shaft
Package prices are for F-bodies, Cobras, and Vipers. Add $300 for corvette or GTO t56 rebuilds.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!
We take Visa and Mastercard as well. The 25% off special that they are offering is an awesome deal. Other things to consider however are shipping costs and turnaround time.
Usually our level 1 or 2 packages are on their way back within 2-3 business days provided there an no special order parts needed.
