Need help with T-56 Hi, I was driving the car to dinner (not beating on it at all) and was coasting to a light, poushed in the clutch and went to pull it out of 4th and it was stuck. It took a little muscle to get it out, and it drove fine after that. After dinner i was caosting to a light and went to put it in nuetral and it was like it was not there, after wiggling it around for a min nuetral was fine, but then it happened again, stuck in fourth and no nutral?? After wiggling it for a sec it was fine in nuetral. Then the whole way home it was fine like nothing was wrong, no sticking or anything. Whats up? Bent,broke shift fork,shifter or small ball bearing at the base of shifter miss aligned?? Im pretty hard on the shifts as most but would like to figure this out. Thanks Ryan

Re: Need help with T-56 Chris is right. hard shifting makes for broken synchro keys. (little plastic like pads on the forks) i've rebuild mine 3 times and i replace these every time im in there.
believe me when i say, the longer you drive it that way, the more stuff you're going to break and the more money it's going to cost.

Re: Need help with T-56 I just had a similar problem. Had my tranny rebuilt just last week. Sychros for 4th went out. I figured I could still get around and I could save up some money. Two weeks later everything took a ****. Got it stuck in 3rd gear and when I finally got it out, it was stuck in neutral and wasn't going anywhere. You're going to have to get a rebuild. :/

Re: Need help with T-56 if the synchros go out will there be any other symptoms?? My tranny sometimes either doesn't go into gear all the way or will throw it self out of gear....and how hard are these to rebuild?? does anybody make a rebuild kit???
