Ram 910 problems
Ram 910 problems I would like to know what u guys think about this problem I have. The disc is getting replaced for free from Allen at Futral Motorsports and Ram Clutches. I talked to Allen and he has NO idea why but he hasn't seen the clutch yet, I sent him pics today. I told him that the new flywheel and PP (just as new as the clutch, 2,500 miles) look normal and have regular wear. When the clutch engages it makes a noise like a paint brush hitting a metal fan lightly and the clutch engagement has softend up ALOT, more than I think it should have. It does not matter what gear it's in for the noise, it does it in every gear if u let the clutch out softley. Like I said the new steel flywheel and PP are not discolored or have any harsh wear. I have only raced no more than I can cound on one hand. Just would like ur info, here are the pics.

Re: Ram 910 problems this is really weird. i know that this has happened in big HP applications overpowering the disc. anyone have any ideas? the disc is blue and the springs are all chewed up.

Re: Ram 910 problems If you are having to slip the clutch alot to takeoff this will wear the 900 series faster. It's really more of a 'let it go' disc. If smoother takeoff is what you are after, use the 980...
