buying a used clutch - good or bad idea?

Default buying a used clutch - good or bad idea?

I'm looking at a deal on a used Spec stage 3 carbon clutch. Is there a problem with buying a used clutch? It is supposed to have 1500 miles on it. I know I'll have to update my hydraulics, etc. but I want to know if it is bad to buy a used clutch.

Brandon, I wouldn't have a problem buying a used clutch if I could see it beforehand. Disk material could be chipped, or other probs. Why is the current owner selling it?

Bad idea.
Buy new.

The discs alone from SPEC are only $199.
Maybe you could pick up the Pressure Plate. If it's a Blue Gen2 one.
