Scoggin Dickey. They're a sponsor. I got mine for $418 shipped, that included the flywheel.

I have one and it's really nice. A little soft, which is something I don't like, but it holds and drives like a stocker. I didn;t have any luck with Specs but thats just me I guess. A lot of people love them.

So, if you're not planning on spraying, the LS7 clutch would be a good choice?

The changes I'm planning for my 04 long block are:
Patriot 2.02"/1.57"/59cc Heads - Fully Assembled
MS4 Cam
SLP LS6 ported oil pump
SLP Double Roller timing chain

Will the LS7 clutch handle that and will a bone-stock T-56 handle that much? My car isn't going to be run extremely hard all time. Just a beast of a daily driver.

Thanks,
Michael

so then if you are spraying oh i don't know maybee a 200 shot direct port kit what would be the clutch of choice for people who are sprayin out of the hole? I have always thought spec 4 or 5 would be a wise choice.

My TA was a H/C/I car and I sprayed a 150 shot on top of that. I never had a single problem with the LS7 clutch

good info!!!
I bought one and I cant wait to put it on!
I got 36k out of my Ls6 and 10k of those with my current set-up.
about 10 passes ***** out at rt66, slipping it cause rt66 is notorious for breaking 10bolts.

Are you guys using that heavy LS2 flywheel that came with the LS7 clutch kit or did you buy the fidanza light weight one? I know the stock LS2 flywheel is heavier than the LS1 flywheel, therefore you will lose power.

YA but more rotational inertia will yield more constant times and will hold RPMS better for road racing. And the loss of power isnt enough to worry about...

I use the LS2 and I still made good numbers. Also both curves were flat and had no peaks. Just good numbers for my mods. If you are not in the 8's or 9's the 2-5 HP you lose is not worth worrying about. IMO

Is the physical size of the LS7 pressure plate bigger than the f body LS1 plate.
I'm trying to figure out if it will fit in the TKO bell housing. It might be a little smaller than the T56 housing.

So how much power would you gain with a fidenza light weight, which weighs aprox. 12.9Lbs. ? Would a light flywheel like that cause any chatter?

I have heard that they do sometimes have chater issues with lightweight flywheels.

I use a LS7 clutch on my set-up. So far no issues and it is fine for DD and track duty (on street tires).

As long as you get the LS2 flywheel and LS7 PP and disk then YES it is a direct swap

Can you upgrade to an LS-7 slave cylinder? Is it better than the stock LS-1/LS6? If not, should you upgrade the slave or just get a stock?
