Default LSX motor and LT1 trans

I have a 6.0 and want to see if anyone has or if this is even possible. I am building a 69 Nova and putting a 6.0 with L92 heads/ L76 intake and wanted to see if it was possible to put a LT1 6 speed behind it. I have the 6 speed already, hence why I would like to use it. Anyone have any luck doing this before?

OK, I have read numerous and I mean numerous posts in different forums and even on this forum. Everyone says you cannot run a LT1 6- speed behind a LS1 without changing out parts ( Input, bell housing, mid plate, clutch). I found a front plate that converts the LT1 t-56 to able it to bolt to an old 4 speed style flywheel that uses a fork and original clutch linkage in my car. Now my Question is I have seen people bolt 4 speeds to the LS1's without any problems. Why cant I just by the front plate and use the old style bell housing then?
