Question about ARP bolts on clutch/flywheel

Default Question about ARP bolts on clutch/flywheel

When installing a flywheel and clutch kit do you use ARP lube or lock tight on the ARP bolts?? We have ARP bolts for both and just wanted to make sure b4 we went any farther thanx

I would contact ARP and ask what their recommendation is.

well i have read in many post saying you must lock tight. I had a friends come apart because he didnt use lock tight, But on the packaging it said use lube but that just doesn't sound right for thise case.

Anything involving a clutch I always opt for loctite, regardless of recommendation. I'm sure the lube would provide a more accurate torque reading, but I'd rather not have it back out.

Always use Loctite

yeah we used loctite. It just through us off when on the package it said use the arp lube
