Default Where do you shift your bolt-on cars?

I'm asking this question because recently I ran a new best time shifting between 5500 and 5700 rpms. It was really out of necessity more so than by choice. My valvesprings were severely weak after 140k miles and the valves were beginning to float at high rpms.

I'm wondering if the car ran that well because of the lower shiftpoints. My previous best was 12.40@112.9 shifting between 6k and 6200.

The obvious guess is that you were floating your valves - easy to do with stock springs. Unless you have some sort of data recorder you may be spinning higher than you think. The tach is useless for the 1-2 shift and inaccurate at the 2-3 shift.
