Default T-56 Replacement

After having the tranny feel like I'm shifting against a brick wall for 3 months... It started vibrating while in gear in 2nd, and eventually died. This all took place a month or two ago..

In that time I ordered a ram 402/980 clutch setup, I'm doing the drill mod, and I'm making my master cylinder adjustable. I know this alot of times is the reason it feels like that. My question is, rather than rebuild my transmission.. I found a good deal on one for around $850 out of a 2002. I already called dibs on it, and I'm sending the guy money out after shipping quote, etc. The tranny has 12k miles on it.

This poses a problem though, as I know the 2001-2002 trannys have alot of problems. Can most of these problems be attributed to clutch/master setup stock? Will my setup help this tranny last longer? My car is a 1999, and so seeing the 2001-2002 users complain of tranny issues with only a few miles on it really makes me worry. Will I end up in the same boat I was in shortly after installing the new (to me at least) tranny in my car? I don't do much powershifting, but I do shift quickly when racing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
