Pro 5.0 installed!!
Pro 5.0 installed!! Well, I just got the Pro 5.0 from Speed Inc. installed. Man, it is a short throw. I got the short lever too, but used the Pro one since the angled handle lines the **** up better with my arm and shoulder. I cut it to the same length as the short lever, but now I wish I hadn't. You give up leverage with the shorter throw, and I think it may have slowed my shifting down. Or maybe that is good - I can't overpower the synchros now so maybe they will last longer. It definately hangs a moment when the slider makes contact with the syncho. I need more time with it, but I think I will really like it once I get a bit more experience. It feels _much_ more positive than the stocker.
Re: Pro 5.0 installed!! I tried, but I'm not sure what "correctly" is. If you just put it in gear, run the bolt up, back off 1 turn, and lock it down, that is a different setting than if you pull a little harder when you put it in gear. I think the instructions were to "pull firmly" or something like that, but I suspect if you pull you shouldn't back off at all, and if you just put it in gear and let it sit in the detent you should back off 1 turn. You need to allow a little over travel, but not much.
