Default Clutch pedal noise

on my way home from SLP day, when i depressed the clutch i heard a metallic snap or a breaking loose type metallic noise coming from what sounded to be the pedal or right above it. Clutch feels a little mushier now but still works just fine, i tried looking around and cant find anything??? Anyone else ever have this happen

Ha - yep happened to me a number of times. It is the clutch return spring. Mine broke and I had it fixed while my car was at the dealership for other concerns, and it snapped again when I was 5 feet out of the parking lot of the dealership.

You are perfectly fine to drive around without it. It will just snap again if you have it fixed.

Its happened to me about 3 times. Took mine in to get fixed today and on the way out I noticed that the pedal just wasn't fixed right, now they got my car for who knows how long. The clutch pedal would have to be totally let off of to move the car, and when I hit the throttle the clutch would slip. Any advice on if this is just a problem with the pedal not coming all the way up would be appreciated. In the future I'm just going to live with a broken spring.
