I ordered a Wilwood kit a year ago bc of all the hype. Mine was still working fine then, i thought. Well after 5 seal kits later on the Mcleod slave, they warrantied it and gave me a new one. They said "it wasn't hard annodized". Now the slave is not blowing seals out, the pedal still goes limp, i can pump it back up and it will work for a few shifts, then back to nothing. So looks like i'm going to install the Wilwood seal kit that i have been sitting on for a year.

What a load of crap ,1- 250.00 Mcleod master cylinder,1- 300.00 mcleod slave , 5- 50.00 seal kits to rebuild the slave, 1- 30.00 wilwood rebuild seal kit. There quality control blows, if this doesn't work i'm ordering a Tick MC.

I'll let you guys know if a few days if it fixes mine.

I know it's spending more money, but why not try the Tick master cylinder. Lots of people have reported success with it.

After reading this thread I can't wait to try my new MC out...

FWIW, I installed the McCleod MC yesterday per the install university write up. Seems the MC I recieved is a bit different than yester years. It came with bolts and lock washers in lieu of the factory u-bolt, as well as a new a o-ring for the slave line, a slave line quick disconnect tool, and hose clamps for the resevior. Hopefully that's a sign of improved QC.

UPdate--

The Wilwood seal kit did not work in my Mcleod master, it pressured up fine but after driving , it did the same thing and started bleading down...

I called up McLeod and talked to them and they recommened that i buy the orginal seal kit from the company that made it for them, since it was a Gen I master they no longer service those.

Contact info for the McLeod Master Gen I company
CNC
619-275-1663

seal kit pt# 910-ML

Price 35.00

I haven't decided if i will buy the seal kit for just break down and buy the Tick Master... OR go auto , tired of all these clutch issues

you beat me to it, You can tell which Gen you have by looking at the Boot, If its a Gen I your boot will say CNC on it. Just ordered their re build kit, Replaced the Slave, and Still having Issues with the Clutch not Disengaging. Anyone want to swap out MC So I can see If its just me or if there is a more serious issue I have not addressed, Taking it back off again and re bench bleeding it. There shouldnt be any air but man this is pissing me off. Im in Northern Va, Leesburg LAndsdown area. Feel Free to call 703-980-2691 Steve, And I bought the Mcleod in April of 07, SPEC Stage 3 07, Fidanza FW 07,.....LAst week 02 slave, and CNC Rebuild Kit. there are prob 20,000 miles on the clutch, no racing, only spirited driving
