Mcleod master cyl. --> Slow leak inside car.
Anybody have this . . .or experience this?
It's not a *SERIOUS* leak. . .I just moved the rubber boot when I was under there (felt like a freakin' buffalo under the dash!), and some fluid came out from the boot. . .
Clutch seems to work fine, not a serious loss of fluid.

Re: Mcleod master cyl. --> Slow leak inside car.
Just recently picked up a new clutch and (stock) hydraulics. Before making the decision to stick with new stock stuff, I did a lot of "searching" and reading on here and at other sites about which master cylinder to buy. There being no few complaints about the aftermarket versions - leaks being first and foremost, that I decided to just stick with new GM parts.

not to be an ***. . . but it's been in my car for a year.
I'm not asking for opinions on whether or not to buy one!
Also, an adjustable master is the best choice when using the aftermarket clutches that require a shim. . . thus using the adj. master, you don't have to keep replacing the shim w/ a smaller one as you pile on the miles.
Anyways, thanks for the reply, and no offense.

I wasn't giving an opinion on whether to buy one or not <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . Just passing on what I'd found out doing a little research. It's cool <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .

Cool.
I've had the Mcleod single clutch in there now for ~53k miles. Like I said, I wanted a master that could push extra fluid when required, and work the slave w/o a shim.
Well, I'll be driving it to work tomorrow anyways, and for the next 7 weeks until I graduate.
