The T-56 doesn't have a filter nor a pan to drop. It just drain and refill - I'd use Dexron III if it's stock. I think GM lost the Dexron rights, so I'm going with Castrol Dexron III/Mercon in the future. You may want to get a reduced price since it's a 6-speed.

I say you pass on that and do it yourself. Just two plugs to remove. Remove bottom one to drain (it says "drain") then cork it back up.
Now there are two ways to fill it. Use 3qts. your choice auto trans fluid. You can either:
-Remove the shifter and pour it in there
-Get a lil hand pump and hose to fill it, Yes that plug says "fill" too.
Hahaha it should take no longer than an oil change. Then plug her back up and you are golden. No filter or pan to speak of. Leave that for the A4 guys.

I wouldn't trust any company that would change my filter and pan gasket on a transmission that doesn't have a filter or pan gasket!! $70 bucks!! 3qts is like maybe what $12 and 15-20 minutes of your time? Do it yourself and save the money and the hassle.

the only reason i said that is because on Aamco's web sit they say that they change the filter and gasket but i didnt kno that the T-56 didnt have those....
