Default How difficult to change clutch?

How hard is it to do? What are some good alternatives to the stock unit? I have a 99 F-body setup.

First time took me 6 hours.Now I can do it in 3-4 hours on car jacks.The hardest part is getting the top bolts out.I use a 4' extension <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

It's actually pretty easy. The real pain is hoisting up the tranny if you're working on jack stands instead of a hoist.

I've got the Cartek clutch now since my Z06 clutch failed after 10K miles and I love it. Zero chatter and very smooth take-offs!

How far do you have to separate the engine and the transmission? I have a really tight fit with the tranny.
