can anyone tell me if the skip shift sensor has to be plug in

Default can anyone tell me if the skip shift sensor has to be plug in

or is there a way i can bypass it. MIne keeps going of and i cant shift into 2 gear

its plugged in it just isnt good anymore it keeps acting up
