New clutch going in this weekend
Hey guys, got a LS7 clutch kit from Scoggin Dickey. This will be the weekend project. My Spec 3 is pretty much toast after about 10K miles. Slipping in 3rd,4th,5th and 6th if I give it anymore than 1/2 throttle. It will eventually grab but I have definately ruled out a hydraulic issue. So new slave cylinder going in along with the clutch. I'll post pics up after I get it done this weekend, wish me luck!

No I'm not doing an adjustable master, shouldn't need it. I also have an aluminum flywheel in there with the Spec and I've read that Aluminum FW's eat clutches up since there is less inertia I pretty much DD my car so thats probably the main problem right there. And thanks!

Ok guys got the clutch done. Here's some pics as well as the old Spec that was in it... the previous owner was incorrect it was not a spec 3 as the spec that came out of it was a full face clutch. Let me know what you think. And its going to take some getting used to this LS7 as the clutch pedal is much lighter and it grabs right off the floor for now (about 1 mile on it just drove around teh block).
Old Spec Clutch Disc
Old Spec going in the trash.
Old Flywheel notice all the hotspots?
My car up in the air.
Total old Spec package.
The spec had ~10-12K miles on it. Stock LS1 flywheel the previous owner told me it had an aluminum flywheel... wrong
