problems with getting into gears

problems with getting into gears i went to the track last night and made 4 runs fine. after the fourth run coming back i noticed it was a little difficult getting the shifter in 2nd and 3rd. then i parked it and just shifted through the gears and it was fine. drove home, go to put it in 1st and 2nd and 3rd its a little hard then the rest of the gear are fine and easy to get into. stop at a red light and take off goes into every gear fine. go to get on the interstate and it is hard to get it into 5th and 6th. any ideas? im hoping that since it is in every gear and not consistent that it is not internal trans problem. i will be putting the car on the lift in a few days to see, but if anyone has any ideas or thoughts please let me know. thanks in advance.
