Default Will it work without VSS?

I'm hoping to finish my trans swap (mostly) this weekend.

The only thing I probably won't have by tomorrow will be the VSS pigtail. Will the car even start without the VSS plugged in? Would I be able to at least drive it without VSS plugged in? What would be affected?

I really just want to see if everything is working mechanically this weekend and I can always go back and hook up the pigtail when I get it.

Thanks!

How important is the VSS when it comes down to it? I was considering having it programmed out during my swap since I am using a T350.

Thanks!!

I wouldn't do an EFI swap without one. The OEMs would not have installed it if it wasn't helpful. A TH350 can use a 700 tailhousing w/ LT1 era VSS that would work. So easy, yet you want to delete.
