amsoil is synthetic though. I thought I read not to use Royal Purple because it's synthetic.

I'd like to use amsoil as it does wonders on my brother's DSM but if it's synthetic and we're not supposed to then I won't.

I'm just confused.

Also on the Pennzoil Syncromesh are we supposed to add any additive?

Im curious about the AMsoil ATF Dextron III as well. My car has 136,000 on it now and im about the change over to the LS7 clutch. I would like to put a good fluid back into the tranny.

Thanks

Is it bad if automatic trans fluid is poured into a manual trans?

Not really. ATF is basically cottonseed oil. It will not dissolve or react with your blocker rings. It is lightweight and cheap. Works great.

Consider other fluids if you have a performance rebuild!
