LS7 clutch and Fidanza FW
My buddy is swaping a 2002 ls1 and m6 tranny into a FD Rx7... He is going to run an aluminum Fidanza FW and would like to run the ls7 clutch. Are these two compatable with each other... I have heard everyone running the ls2 fw but he wants to run the aluminum one and he has already purchased it... Btw, what upgraded hydralics do you guys recommend he should use. Also, how much are we looking like on the ls7 pp and disc, and I believe most of the updated hydralics come with the throw out bearings...
Anyone have part numbers available...
Thanks Mark Tisdale

I think that as long as you get the LS2 compatible Fidanza flywheel, you can bolt the LS7 disk & PP up no problem. I have heard of issues with that flywheel warping from heat soak...in a lighter RX-7 it might not be a problem.
That clutch setup ought to run about $650-700...$275 for the disk & PP and about $375 for the flywheel.
For hydraulics, if you buy anything new, it will be the upgraded style. I don't think you will need anything special like an adjustable master or anything....but hard to say.
