Default 93' T56 Tag #'s ????

I'm going to look at a LT1 T56 set up soon, but they don't know what year it is. How can I id the 93' t56 over the 94-97'??? I've been searching for info all night and been coming up with misleading info. I know the 93's have a lower TQ rating, and snice this is going into a 4400lb pig. I want to stay away from it.

Or.......Any other ways to tell a 93' T56 apart from the rest?

Put it in 6th gear, put a piece of tape on the input shaft to mark it, put a piece of tape on the output shaft to mark it. Rotate the input shaft one full turn. If the output shaft turns just under twice (1.6 times), it's a 1993 (.62 ratio). If the output shaft turns exactly twice, it's a '94+ (.5 ratio). I think that's right anyway.

If it's still in the car, it's more difficult but doable. It would involve marking the driveshaft, jacking up the rear wheels, marking the harmonic dampener, and turning the motor by the crank bolt while watching the revolutions.

Both were '93 transmissions.

That will work,it sounds right anyways. Its out of the car,it will be easy.
