Pro 5.0 Service!

Talk about service! I cut my Pro 5.0 stick down before install and then decided I didn't like it. I e-mailed Pro 5.0 explaining and asking where to buy a new stick. They told me to send them the cut one and they would send me a new one if I paid the shipping! It doesn't get much better than that!

i just ordered my pro 5.0 shifter on thursday. how do u like urs? is it alot better than stock ?

Why did you not like it after you cut it down? I was planning on getting the Pro 5.0 and cutting it down to a "short stick"...a friend of mine did it to his pro 5.0 for his T/A.. he seems to like it

Yep, I like it a lot better than stock. It is more positive and the throw is shorter.

It is probably a personal preference and strength issue. I once knew a guy who could powershift anything, or tear the shift lever off trying. I find that when shifting I get a hesitation when I hit the synchros that I did not get with the longer (stock) lever and more leverage. Maybe I need to learn to pull harder. I dunno. But the throw is short enough without cutting the stock Pro 5.0 handle. The short handle wasn't so bad with the console out, but now with the console back in, the shift **** is below the level of the console. That also make it more difficult for me to shift fast. It isn't an issue kicking around town.

Oh, OK, Thanks for the info!! I'll be sure not to cut before I put it on. Then I can see if I want to cut it or not!

I ordered my Pro 5.0 as a package from www.afterthoughtsauto.com
It came with the Pro 5.0 and Lou's short stick. It's a great combination and I'm very pleased with it.
