where can i get a shim for the slave cylinder

Default where can i get a shim for the slave cylinder

I'm gonna try and shim my slave cylinder and see what happens.
Any ideas on where to buy one and how much of a shim i need

whats your clutch setup? milled FW, Slave, disc/PP combo ect..? i've got an extra spacer or two around, but why do you want to do this?

I have the RAM 980 my flywheel was shaved, i believe too much was taken out of my flywheel. I was told to shim the slave cylinder since there isnt a shim for the flywheel. I cant get the car into reverse and gears are nothcy.

Damn, I just threw a bunch of those away that I would have gladly sent you. These are the WRONG way to fix our clutches, and you will probably have nothing but problems by using them. The only reason we used slave shims back in 98-99 was because there were no adjustable masters available at the time. If you have to pull the tranny a couple times to get the correct shim to work (which will only work until the clutch wears a bit and then you need to install a new one) the costs will be not worth the trouble. Might be cheaper in the longrun to just install a fresh flywheel.

McLeod made those slave shims, not sure if they still make them.

I was told by RAM to shim the flywheel bolts
