Every so often, when engaging the clutch, I will hear a squeaking noise. I have the clutch set-up that's listed in my sig, and it's only started doing it here recently. The clutch set-up has been in the car now for 50K problemless miles, along with the stock flywheel that I had re-surfaced before I put the RAM in. Any ideas on what this may be? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Does it only happen when it is cold outside?

Sometimes my clutch will squeak a little when it is cold outside and the car is not warmed up...I have heard that it is just the clutch material and not to worry about it.

Might be the clutch pedal return spring. Here's the TSB "Clutch Pedal Return Spring Breaks or Scraping Noise When Clutch Pedal Applied (Replace Clutch Pedal Return Spring) #02-07-31-001"

Ya know, I think that little spring popped off a couple of years ago. One night, while me and my wife were out riding, right after I took off from a stoplight, I heard a sudden pop, but couldn't tell what it was. Everything on the car felt fine, and I just blew it off. Well, the next morning, when it was light out, I went to get in the car, and found this little spring lying in the floorboard underneath the clutch pedal.

What purpose does this spring actually serve? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I mean, I've been driving the car ever since without it, and haven't had a single problem. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Yeah that was the clutch pedal return spring you found in the floorboard. All I know is is just pulls the pedal back up. Mine broke when the car was about 9 months old.

My SS had a squeeky clutch at about 2000 miles. My dealer replaced the master cylinder under warranty and the squeeks went away.
