Default Aluminum Fly Wheel?

I have decided to go with a Ram VDS system with a 910 disk. I was wondering if I should go for the Aluminum Flywheel upgrade at the same time. My car is set up for drag racing and the stock clutch is gone. I run Mickey Thompson ET Drags and just want to make sure that when I do the clutch install I install all the best parts offered at the time. I hate pulling apart and rebuilding. Jessie

Jessie,
For drag racing, I would stick with a steel flywheel. The aluminum flywheel will hurt 60' time and cause the engine to bog down when letting the clutch out, unless you are leaving with the engine RPM above 7k. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

The aluminum flywheel is mainly used in road racing for corner acceleration.

Stick with the steel flywheel for drag racing. I'm going with an aluminum flywheel but it’s on a street/road race car.
