Mcleod Adjustable Master I am having a few problems,after getting two of these things from Thunderracing I got one that works. Installed it, and it was fine for about 8,000 miles as the new clutch settled in I wanted to get in there and adjust the master. I have the rod as short as it will go, I even removed the nut on the end of the shaft to make the eyescrew go down as far as possible. I also noticed a little drip coming from the master (Brake fluid!) I guess it leaked a little, does anyone else have this problem ? Am I going to have to cut the rod shorter to get the clutch to engage properly. As of now it works fine but not quite were I want it at. I basicly have to let the pedal off the floor about 75% to get engagement is this normal? When I did the clutch install I had the flywheel cut could that be part of my problem? My clutch is in the sig below .

Re: Mcleod Adjustable Master Maybe you need to go the other direction--mine was a pain in the *** to adjust correctly. I finally started with it all the way open and worked its way in. Somewhere close to midway it starts to grab near stock position

Re: Mcleod Adjustable Master Is your clutch pressure consistant or does it feel fine sometimes, and soft the others? The dripping brake fuid has me thinking it's a leak and letting air into your system.

Re: Mcleod Adjustable Master The pressure in the line feels fine all the time. The leak was only one drop .. Hasn't done it since. I don't feel like taking the transmission off again just to replace the flywheel. I think I will wait until it blows up again

Re: Mcleod Adjustable Master Cut on flywheel should only have been around .010" that shouldnt cause problems, but have you considered threading rod on master further for more adjustment? Would that help?

Re: Mcleod Adjustable Master When I installed mine I talked with Mcleod and they said the proper adjustment is the rod should just slide on to the peg on the clutch pedal without having to push the pedal down. So really it's doesn't have much adjustment in it to work proper but it does push more volume of fluid through it.
