Help T56 troubles

Help T56 troubles well i was driving home from my friends shop and all of a sudden i could not shift out of fourth. well i thought clutch fluid or 3/4 shift fork. so i ripped out the trans and the second i got it out i put the shifter back on and to my surprise it is shifting fine now. does anyone have any clue why this happened and if possible what could be the real problem. oh i was driving right , no hot rodding when it happened

Re: Help T56 troubles did u ever finds out what was the problem. i talk to a guy that this happened and he said he replaced the pilot bushing and had no problem after that. please guys i am looking at a $5 bearing or a $500 rebuild i need answers quick.
Re: Help T56 troubles Sounds like the 4th gear syncro.If the syncro is gone it will not shift into 4th while the car is running,but will will the car off. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
