Default Pilot bushing just slips out

is this normal? I installed a pilot bushing about 10,000 mi ago and it isn't loose, but it just slips out without any problems at all. Is this normal for it to wear like that?

No it shouldn't, did it seize on the input shaft & wear some? It slips out of the crank you mean?? I would replace it.

it didn't seize on either of them. the transmission slipped right out but I noticed the bushing wasn't flush anymore so when I grabbed it it just slide right in and out. I did get another one though when I planned to rebuild the tranny. I'll throw it in for good measure. there's a pile of bronze shavings on the flywheel lol.

Sounds like it spun in the crank some how . Install a new one and if it does not fit tight or atleast snug , you could have an issue on your hands .

it installs into the rear side of the crankshaft and the input shaft of the t-56 slips inside of the bearing. It allows the input shaft to spin freely but also be more stable minimizing vibrations from it.

Stock it has an actual bearing with needle bearings, but you can get bronze bushings that's for higher horsepower applications, it's just more sturdy, the bearings can get beat up if too much stress is put on it.
