I purchased my ss just last week unfortanely i couldnt find a 6 speed that i wanted but im looking to swap the auto 4 for 6 speed manual my question is should i buy a used one and have it rebuild and installed by MTI or just purchase a new one from GM either way it goes im going to MTI for the swap, any suggestions

find someone locally that wants to swap in the opposite direction and test-drive their vehicle. Once both of you are happy that both drivetrains are in great condition, have the shop do the conversions on both vehicles and split the labor prices.

There is alot involved with an A4 to M6 swap, which is why I recommend finding an M6 owner that wants to swap.

Transmission
Clutch
Manual pedal assembly
bellhousing
master cylinder
slave cylinder
radiator (A4s have tranny fluid reservoir inside)
computer and tuning
interior center console
shifter

I just found some to swap a M6 for my built A4. There are two other guys in Dallas that want Autos.

APPRECIATE IT GUYS, JUST MIGHT FIND SOMEONE HERE LOCALLY WHO WANTS A AUTO 4 AND GO WITH THE SWAP
