I just recently put in the MGW shifter. I want to know if anyone else had trouble with 3rd gear?

It is just really shiff.I have to jam it in for it to go in. I didn't have that problem with the hurst shifter. I don't know if maybe i installed it wrong? (dont see how) Or maybe its not broken in? I don't know its just really hard.

Would someone please try this with their mgw shifter while just parked: shift to 5th or 6th and then just pull the shifter vertically only. Does it center itself everytime back under 3rd gear in neutral? I have this issue where if I don't center it myself coming out of 5th gear, it just hangs in neutral but not centered. Like it has a little wiggle room between 3rd and 5th in neutral* and I just give it a tap to the left to get it back to dead center. Is just mine? Thanks anyone who can test this out for me!

It will break in. Also after driving it for a while you will get use to it.

Mine recenters every time regardless of whether I'm in 1/2 or 5/6. You might give MGW a call and see what they suggest...it might need some more time, but there might be an adjustment that needs to be made.

Mine does it sometimes. I had one of the early production ones, so I figure the newer ones have this ironed out. It doesn't bother me the slightest though.

Thanks! I will give them a call to see what they say at least. Besides that, which isn't a huge deal, it's a nice shifter! Heads up if you're just installing this though, put the **** on the stick and tighten it up and make sure it's adjusted first where u want it lol my shifter **** could go another half turn to be completely tight but it ends up being backwards.

I've been following this thread for awhile now and was just wondering if anyone here has compared this to the Pro 5.0 shifter yet. I currently have the Pro 5.0 with Lou's Short Stick and have been running it for a few years now. To me its good but that's comparing it to the stock shifter (Pro 5.0 being way better of course). With that being said and from all the good reviews I've read about the MGW shifter I would like to know if its even worth it to switch over or just stick to what I have. Thanks.
