I hear that the Textralia suffers from this quite a bit. My McLeod RXT doesn't have this problem at all, thank goodness.

That is all.

That BOP model that holds that kind of power is probably an iron disc, right?

These kinds of clutches could hold big power, but they're not "stock feel."

Hell, Spec 3 and 3+ are not "stock feel."

Know what I mean?

Hey, what do you drive? A GTO?

Yea its a iron disc. Your right its not a stock feel but its pretty close. from all the other clutchs ive had in the car this is the closest.

sorry for the miss understanding my rwhp is 658hp on dyno packs. so i said 700hp cause i was thinking how much is at the clutch and know there at least that much on the clutch. I feel safe to say it holds 700hp at the clutch.

Yes i drive a heavy goat. I love the gto but the weight is killing me and parts.
If the F1C didnt make so much noise it be one of the greatest sleeper.
I love the faces of the 600 street bikes when the family looking car is pulling on them. its a dream but i want to one day tie a liter bike. long way off as of now.

Sorry wasnt try to start a pissing match just it seem like everthing i put on this GTO is bashed by some one and it always ends up working great.

I have a BOP talon on my car and am upgrading to their Talon "race" clutch. They have not named it yet. I was one of the first to purchase from them over on LS1gto.com. they have great customer service and stand behind there product hence me putting in a new clutch. I will update whp as soon as I get the break in done. I pic it up on wed.

In 06/07 I ran the Tex O700 for about 10k, and plenty of low 10 sec runs, including a best of 10.04 at 148mph.
It performed faultlessly, and drove like stock the entire time. When I removed it, it was only just fully broke in.

I upgraded to a triple....just because I wanted to. Its working great now too.

What kinda weight do you have though? I'm guessing you are in something MUCH lighter than an F-body...

Meh...that's heavier than I thought it would be. You must be pushing some serious power to have traps that high...

FWIW, my race weight is around 3760 lbs...

+1
I have a spec 3+ in my stroker which makes 447 rwhp and the clutch takes what ever I throw at it. I don't slip it much though. I drive it on or off with the belief that I'd rather swap tires than swap a clutch. (If you've ever swapped a clutch in a F-body on 18" jack stands, you'll relate!)

Is the new one out yet? I had to resort to a used, vintage, Level 7, but I absolutely love it. Just curious what the new one is like since there were so many mixed reviews on the Level 8.

I had a Tex OZ700 Z-grip in my 496rwhp Camaro and it held fine but like alot of other people on here I was having the disengagment problems with it. It would drag sometimes after I drove it for a little while. I'm going with a twin disc as well but I want to know if the Tex Exo-Skel has the same problem with disengaging as the OZ700. I'm running Ram hydraulics which is basically 01-02 slave and stock master made adjustable.

My car put down 475 at 5800 with the limited at 5800 on a mustang dyno. I just smoked the stock clutch and installed the Spec 3+. It has quite a bit of learning to it. Heavy pedal, lots of chattering and just completely different. Grabs very hard though. It is nice going through the gears.

I managed to get about 320-330 of the recommended breakin miles. I finally turned it loose this morning. A lot more tire spin than with the stock clutch!!!
