Default Transmission Coolers on Manuals???

I own a 99 vette with a 6-speed manual transmission. I'm curious if it's possible to install a transmission cooler on a manual?

Anything is possible, but you should weigh the cost/benefit of one.. I road-race/autox my T56 and only see track temps in the 220deg range. Running M1-ATF, it's no where near limitations.

You'd need 1/2-NPT fittings for the fill and drain plugs, a racing fluid pump, a cooler, and lots of -AN lines/fittings..

You can, You need an Electric pump like the one Tilton offers some -8 line a Setrab cooler and a good place to mount it so it gets good airflow also you'll need to prime the system to allow for the increased capacity an inline filter wouldnt hurt.If you go to the road racing section you might get more help

I forgot to mention that my car is a summer daily driver. I do take it to a 1/4mile track once in a while.

I highly doubt you get it hot enough to do any heat related damage.

There's no way you're pushing the fluid temps under this usage, so best case scenario is you realize no benefit from the cooler. And you're adding significant electrical draw on your alternator...those big fluid pumps suck down major current.
