Default cultch pedal (spring nosie)

Ok i read the sticking pedal thread and im still wondering about something.

Awhile back i had my pilot bearing go out , but while trying to figure out the problem i messed up my pedal in some way. Here is what happened, my dad read that if you pull the pedal back it would reset the cultch, while doing so it sounded like a spring popped, and now when i push in the cultch it has about an inch or so of free movement(not engaging at all) then it makes the spring sound. Adding to this the problem never got fixed and now at WOT i cant shift worth and dang cuz of it, it is extremly hard to get it into the next gear.

My question's are would replacing the slave fix it? or master? or both/either? prehaps the drill mod?

i know these ?'s get ask all the time and are dumb but i cant seem to get a soild answer from anywhere

Where did your dad read the "reset the clutch" trick?

It sounds like the spring in your master cylinder is broken or displaced within the assembly. You'll be replacing the master cylinder, then retesting when it's in and bled to see if anything else is broken.

Agree with ^^^
The return spring sounds like it broke. If you had the trans out you might need to do some bleeding on the clutch as well to get that freeplay out of the pedal.
Pilot bearing was out or slave cylinder/throw out bearing?
If the problem was there before all that, could be a master cylinder problem as well. Little unclear as to what order the events transpired.

well the pilot bearing was out before, we pulled the clutch before we knew that it was out, i thought it was a master cylinder but im pretty sure we replace that after i may be wrong i do know we replaced the slave, we may have only bleed th master not changed it, im pretty sure it is the master after hearing what yall said, and i told a guy that it sounds like a spring and he told me there was no spring that why i was confused.

i will try to fix this and let you know if thats what it was thanks for the helps guy
