Switching A4 to M6???
Hey guys I have a 2002 Trans am WS6 A4. I was just wondering if I switch it to an M6 would there be a noticeable difference between a stock M6 trans am or a swapped M6 trans am. And what would be the approximate cost of all the parts and installation ? im willing to pay 5K for the conversion. Is it going to cost more then 5k?? and i am not doing the installation, and if anyone has already did the procedure do you regret on doing the swap or are you happy with the swap. If anyone has pictures that would be awesome also.
thanks in advance

There won't be any difference other than your TA having 3.23s(being a former A4 car) unless you switched them.
You should be able to get it done for 5K

You should be able to get it done for 5K no problems. My advice when you do the swap is to get a new clutch, slave, master, and have someone go through the trans before you install it. You can usually pick up a complete swap kit in the F/S section for around $2k or less.

It should cost you no where near 5k unless you are buying new everything. Find a used t56 in good shape 1000, Hydralics 250, pigtails 50, pedals 50, shifter 150, misc 250, reflash 200, LS6 clutch 400.
If you have any mechanical skills at all you could install the pedals and master cylinder yourself. Then the cost would at the shop would litterally be cost of R&R and a little bit of wiring.
You may even be able to do the wiring yourself and use the t56 pedals with the A4 to get to the shop, I haven't done it in awhile so I would have to think about that.... R & R and bleed is what 600-700 max.
Your at around 3k and only a couple of hours worth of work. I've done 4 of these it really isn't that hard. And like someone said I bet you could get a whole conversion for 1500 to 1700 bucks. Sell your A4 core for 350??
