Slave Cylinder I Just picked up a new slave for my 01. I gave the parts guy the # for my year and he brought back a slave with the part # for the "288" and he says gm superseeded the 145 part # with the 288 to cover all yewars of the LS1. My question is...am I still getting the better slave from the 01,02 years?

12565145 2001 Slave Cyl <--Local parts guy says this number was superseeded by this number->15046288 2000 Slave Cyl, and all slave cylinders from 98 to 2002 are now listed under this number 15046288 2000 Slave Cyl. Should I go on a search and find one that has the 145 number?

Re: Slave Cylinder I had the same thing told to me by different people the 145 is out and replaced with the 288...I called 3 different dealers and 3 different answers, all I know is that I have the 288 slave in now
