No brainer. Solid bushing. I've had a few roller bearing pilot bushings disentigrate on me over the years in my LT and LS cars. Just be sure to put a good coat of high temp grease behind and inside of the bushing. Then put a light film on the tip of the input shaft.

I'd definitely go with the solid bushing. my buddy's roller bearing came apart and the rollers seized up the input shaft. You couldn't start the car in gear, it would just make the car jump. Then when I changed out mine there was almost nothing left of the old roller bearing. It had come apart just like my buddy's, but my input shaft just beat the rollers into little pieces and shoved them all behind what was left of the bearing. Screw the bearings.

The solid bushing is available at most parts stores. I got mine from autozone.

Here's the trick. Ask for a 1969 Camaro with a 350. Chevy used the same sized bushing O.D./I.D. from like 57 on up...not sure if the newest LS motors use it...but the LS1 does. I just use 69 camaro because its the easiest to remember and its in the system correctly. It wont come up looking for an LS1 bushing...because they came with the bearings stock.

Autozone had it in stock, part# 14650 (motormite), and it was only 5 bucks. Here's a link.

It wont look bronze...I believe it has a lead coating. Not positive.

I used alittle lithium grease for the install, and a tiny bit on the input shaft snout. Been working great so far.
