thank you razorguy. NC is bit far away. i'v been talking to Amber at SixSpeeds and she's going to work with me of some issues. the link is very helpful on how to package the transmission. i was thinking i had to get a pallet and make a fancy tiedown / crazy wrap job.

I can usually get a T56 shipped on a pallet from our shop to a major metro area for about $125.00 as long as it can be delivered to a business . UPS/Fedex ground is cheaper but they are pretty rough on transmissions .
Shipping rates really can vary a lot from shipper to shipper and location to location . I'd say $85-$200 is about right one way .
