Default lt1 t56 vs ls1 t56

what exactly is the difference between these will lt work on my ls i really wanna swap and it pisses me off seeing people sell swaps for 1100 1000 because i never can run across this i want a m6 so bad but i'm slowly giving up on finding a good priced one

I really dont feel likegoing over the differences but to save you time and money just keeop looking for a LSX style t56. In the end it will cost you less money.

you need a front cover and input shaft. everything else is the same.

As long as you find a LT1 unit with the same gear ratio as the LS1 unit . Some of the early ones were different .

when i ran by '95 hawk against an old buddies '00 hawk, for some reason at high RPM's his trany wouldn't shift in to 2nd as easily as mine

for gear ratios over the years check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tremec_T-56_transmission

All F-body m6 have the same ratio except 93s

Thanks for the link but I am more than aware of what T56's came in what . Some of th e 94's had the bastard ratio as well . I just let the above user know that there was a different one floating around out there .
